Is EmberQuest free to play?
Yes. EmberQuest is free to play on Steam, and the browser version at emberquest.io is also free. It is a cozy lite MMO that monetizes without a box price.
When does EmberQuest come out on Steam?
October 15, 2026. The browser version is already live, so you can start playing and learning the systems before the Steam launch.
Can I play EmberQuest with friends?
Yes — parties, guilds, group PvP events and world bosses are all supported. There is no forced PvP: arenas and PvP zones are opt-in.
Which class is best in EmberQuest?
There is no single best class — the four differ in HP, armor and crit profiles. Warrior is the tank, Assassin the burst pick with the only stealth access, Archer pure ranged damage, Ranger the balanced shield. Compare them all in our class guide.
Can I change my class later?
No class-change system has been announced as of October 2026. Skill progress is shared and permanent, so a second character is the practical way to try another class.
Do I need the Steam version if I play in the browser?
They are the same game, and cross-play works in the sense that everyone is in one world. Whether account progress moves between the browser and Steam builds has not been confirmed yet.
